Mark Pitts has been appointed Design Manager at Manchester based Mutech Ltd , a leading UK electronics design and manufacturing consultancy.
An electronics engineering graduate from UMIST, Mark’s experience includes 15 years working within the design teams of various specialised electronics companies. He has also chaired several British and international standards committees.
A high growth / change champion, Mark is looking forward to playing an integral part in Mutech’s mission to deliver high quality electronics design services. He explains: “My aim is to help Mutech become the leading centre of excellence particularly for intrinsic safety in hazardous areas.”
“We are delighted to have Mark as part of our team,” explains Mutech’s Operations Director, Sarah Varney. “His experience in the certification and international standards for electronics will be invaluable.
“Mark joins us as Mutech again passes its ISO9001: 2008 external audit without any non-conformances. This quality system is a fundamental springboard to other standards, including IEC61508 (Functional Safety) and EN13485 (Design of Medical Equipment).”
Mutech has also recently invested in an IBL BLC509 vapour phase reflow, placing the company at the forefront of electronics assembly. The new machine will enhance the quality of the solder on PCBs and operates with leaded and lead-free boards.
