Low-cost, miniature slide switches available with a new lead-free soldering optionŠ

C&K Offers One of the Most Cost-Effective Miniature Slide Switches

C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, offers a series of low-cost, miniature slide switches. Designated the OS Series, the RoHS-compliant miniature slide switches feature a new high-temperature option for lead-free soldering. Designed with a variety of actuators and terminations, the OS Series miniature slide switches are ideal for thermostat applications, as well as test and measurement equipment, computer peripherals and consumer products.

³The OS Series was designed for easy integration into a variety of applications, and this new lead-free soldering option ensures that the slide switch can withstand a high temperature integration,² said Vinny Acampora, product manager for C&K Components. ³The miniature slide switch provides an extremely cost-effective alternative to other switches that are currently on the market today.²

The OS Series slide switches feature PC- and panel-mounting and are able to withstand a high-temperature mounting with the new lead-free soldering option. Mechanical and electrical life for the OS Series is to 10,000 cycles. It also features shorting or non-shorting contacts with gold or silver contact plating. Maximum contact resistance is 20m‡, with a minimum insulation resistance of 100m‡ at 500VDC. Dielectric strength is 500VAC for 1 minute, and operating temperature ranges from -10ºC to +70ºC.
