Molex expands its board of directors:

Joe W. Laymon rejoins

Molex, a global electronic components company, has announced that Joe W. Laymon has been re-appointed to its board of directors.

Mr. Laymon, 55, who served on Molex’s board between 2002 and 2006, is currently Vice President, Corporate Human Resources and Labour Affairs, for Ford Motor Company. His election expands the Molex Board to 13 directors, including eight outside directors.

"We are very pleased to have Joe Laymon rejoin our Board of Directors," said Fred A. Krehbiel, Co-Chairman. "He was a major contributor in his previous service and brings both expertise and outstanding leadership in human resources to Molex as we continue to grow our business globally. With the two other board members, James S. Metcalf and Kazumasa Kusaka, who were elected in 2007, we have a strong, experienced board with a wide variety of expertise.”

Mr. Laymon is the third outside director to be appointed in the past nine months. In September, the Board elected James S. Metcalf as a member. Mr. Metcalf, 49, has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of USG Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building material and products, since 2006. And in May, Kazumasa Kusaka, an executive advisor to Dentsu Inc., a leading advertising agency in Japan, and a special advisor to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, was appointed to the Molex board of directors.

Mr. Laymon joined Ford Motor Company as Executive Director, Human Resources Business Operations in March 2000 and was promoted to his present position in 2004. Prior to joining Ford, he held senior human resources positions at Xerox Corporation and Eastman Kodak.
